At the beginning of their third year, Class 3A go on a small vacation at a beach resort; Izuku's still recovering from the war and his embers are still there and growing stronger but he still feels so lonely; on his last night he wanders off and ends up being followed by Katsuki where they talk about their feelings.

Suddenly shy again, Izuku squirmed in his seat and rubbed his hands together to warm them up before tucking them into pockets of the jacket, he curled in himself by bringing his knees up and leaning over slightly.
“For catching me—that day when I couldn’t use my quirk after defeating Shigaraki,” Izuku mumbled.
Izuku remembered that day, a core memory engraved in his mind. He remembered the warm hand on his back, the speed Katsuki helped him travel to deliver the final punch, the light shining through the dark clouds and then the freefalling, he could hear the screams of his friends. Izuku tried to use float or even black-whip but that was before he realized his quirk was no more.
