The King pointed to the far end of the kingdom, where the slums were. It was the poorest region of the kingdom. Normally, it was the most mundane, too, but there had been a change of pace.
There was a rebellion.
About five months ago, the King had stopped providing for the poor. The jobless, the old, and the orphans all lived there. They got no food, no water, and that part of the region was locked. No one was allowed in or out.
