Yuna Kondou's quirk had sprouted when she was two years old. She had been pushed down from the swings by another child at her kindergarten, and when she started crying a rose bush had grown around her like a protective wall, pricking anyone who tried to get too close to the sobbing child.

When she was 8, Yuna's dad had built her a greenhouse, which she quickly filled with all types of flowers and plants from all around the world, sitting with them from day in to day out, talking and singing to them, bleeding her heart out. At the age of 12, she could name almost every single plant and flower in Japan.

Yuna was a gentle and happy child, she had always had it good, and had never been exposed to the horrors to the world. She was the type to find joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was the sight of a blooming flower or the warmth of a sunny day. I was probably naive of her - she did live in a society with heroes and villains after all - but she had always believed in the good, that everything would work out in the end, and that the heroes would always prevail.

When she was accepted into U.A. at the age of 15, she realised just how wrong she had been.
