Toshinori was just… staring at him. Izuku couldn’t read his expression, but it seemed almost… amused.
“Do you perhaps deal well with aggression?”
“Aggression?”
“I might have a client for you. How would you like me to set you up with a racer? He’s the real thing.”
Izuku’s eyes widened, and a smile twitched at his lips, before breaking into an uncontrolled beam, “Really? I thought new recruits couldn’t be assigned to professionals until they’d been within contract for a year?”
“Well, I am the contract, and I say you seem quite promising young Midoriya. Like I said before, do you think you can handle it? He’s… a tricky client, but he’s dedicated, and looking for a lead mechanic. You’re by far more qualified than most here, and your motives seem aligned.” Toshinori steeples his hands, “I’ll forward you the information, we’ll cover the travel expenses. How does Tokyo sound?”
