Katsuki’s running on autopilot as he wanders through his thoughts, allowing Kirishima to lay the covers over him as he lies down on the bed. Of course, he reaches for his plushie and holds it close.
“Kiri..”
“Yeah?”
“I don’t..” His feelings bubble up in his chest and he pushes his face into his plushie, “I don’t wanna be by myself.”
Kirishima’s heart swells as he rests his hand on Katsuki’s back. “You won’t be, I promise.”
Katsuki struggles to be honest with himself and pushes his needs and his friends away, and things do downhill from there. (..But it all turns out okay in the end!)
